Fr. Adelino Ascenso was re-elected superior general of the Missionary Society of the Good News (SMBN) in the general assembly of the institution, which elected a new Council for the four-year period 2022-2026, at the St. Francis Xavier Seminary, in Fatima.

The Sons of Mary Immaculate have held their General Chapter from 18 to 29 July 2022, at their Mother House of Chavagnes in Paillers (Vendée), France.

The 34th General Chapter of the Congregation of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception, underway in Rome since 11 July, fulfilled its main task on 26 July: the election of the Superior General and his Council. The 33 Brothers delegated to the Chapter, coming from all the jurisdictions in which the Congregation is divided, chose the Superior General...

For a two weeks, from 11 to 23 July 2022, Oblates of the Virgin Mary from all over the world gathered at the University Residence Lanteri in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France (near Paris), for the General Chapter .
