Abbot Jeremias Re-Elected Abbot President of the Missionary Benedictines
Following the expiration of the term of office of Abbot Jeremias Schröder OSB as the president of the Ottilien Congregation, the General Chapter re-elected him to another term of office for four years, 24 September 2022.
The General Chapter, which was held at Sankt Georgenberg, Austria, wrote this in their daily email newsletter:
In the election which followed this morning, the chapter re-elected Abbot Jeremias Schröder as the abbot president of the congregation. Abbot Jeremias has in many fronts and ways worked hard in the past 22 years to renew, revitalize and stabilize the congregation and her mission worldwide. We believe that, his experience, personal talent and charisma, dedication to the congregation and his power to inspire, will continue to strengthen the congregation in her mission. The congregation is grateful for his availability. We wish him another term of joy, courage, and success for his noble mission.
