The USG Executive Council Pays Tribute to Brother Emili Turú

The Executive Council of the Union of Superiors General (USG) organised a special moment of gratitude in honour of Brother Emili Turú FMS, who served the Union with devotion and competence as Secretary General for six years. The informal celebration took place on Thursday, 30 January, at the end of the first meeting of the new executive, in the USG headquarters. During the meeting, a symbolic gift was presented to Brother Emili Turú FMS, followed by a big round of applause from those present.
Afterwards, the celebration continued in a nearby restaurant, where the opportunity was also taken to celebrate his 70th birthday. The event, characterised by an atmosphere of gratitude and fraternity, was intended to recognise Brother Emili's tireless commitment to promoting the values of consecrated life and supporting the path of the USG, fostering dialogue between the Superiors General and strengthening the bonds of communion between the different religious congregations.
Brother Emili, surprised and moved, thanked those present for the support and cooperation received during his term of office.
