New Superior General of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ
On 17th of October 2024, the 48th General Chapter of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ elected Giuseppe Adobati Carrara Superior General, up until now he has been the Provincial Superior of MAPRAES Province.
Father Giuseppe was born 12/09/1969. He was professed 14/09/1991 and ordained a priest 1/06/1996.
He has already been Provincial Superior in Italy and General Consultor and in this role he has had international experience.
P. Giuseppe was elected for six years and can be re-elected for a further six years term.
P. Adobati succeeds Fr. Joachim Rego, originally from Myanmar, a missionary for 18 years in Papua New Guinea, who governed the Congregation for 12 years.

- P. Eddy Alejandro Vásquez López (Peru)
