This book is the result of collaboration between the International Union of Superiors General (UISG), the Union of Superiors General (USG) and the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors (PCPM). The material it contains is of great relevance to those involved in the protection of minors and vulnerable adults in the consecrated life.

The articles are the result of research and international meetings between superiors general of religious institutes, guardianship delegates and experts in canon law and formation for consecrated life. The questions and suggestions of abuse survivors are the starting point for much-needed reflection within and outside religious communities.

The voices of cardinals, bishops, religious and lay people alternate in these pages, showing that only a common response can translate into new paths of action that make the Church a safe environment for all.
