New Leadership oh the Franciscan Brothers of the Holy Cross

Brother Michael Ruedin FFSC became the new Superior General of the brothers in Hausen/Wied during the 37th General Chapter.After six years, Brother John Francis Tyrrell FFSC handed over his office as Superior General of the Franciscan Brothers of the Holy Cross to Brother Michael Ruedin FFSC last Wednesday.

The General Council is completed by:

• Br. Bonifatius Faulhaber, FFSC - Vicar General
• Br. John Francis Tyrrell, FFSC - General Councilor
• Br. Timotheus Telega, FFSC - General Councilor
• Br. Joshy Thomas, FFSC - General Councilor

Brother Michael Ruedin, forty-seven years old, has been a member of the Order since 2002. As the former superior of the Ebernach friary in Cochem, as well as president of the Administrative Council of the Franciscan Brothers' social institutions, Brother Michael is already known to many people.

"I look at the task entrusted to me with respect," says Brother Michael.
"But despite all the challenges, the central thing for us religious remains the faith lived in community. I look forward to sharing it with my brothers and developing our way of life together during this time."
