New Father General of the Institute of Charity of Rosminians

The Chapter of Rosminians gathered in the Bozzetti Hall of Sacro Monte Calvario elected on the morning of 28th October 2021 the new Father General of the Institute of Charity of the Rosminian Fathers: he is Fr. Marco Tanghetti, 56 years old, comes from the parish of Milan and was lately a missionary in Venezuela.

Before the vote, the 26 members of the Chapter invoked the Holy Spirit and sang the Veni Creator, followed by a moment of silent prayer. Father Tanghetti takes over from Fr Vito Nardin who has left the post due to age limits.

The Institute of Charity is present not only in Italy but also in England, Ireland, Tanzania, Kenya, the United States, Venezuela, India and New Zealand.
