Safeguarding Delegates for female and male religious institutes

Dear Safeguarding Delegates,

The USG and UISG are glad to invite you to the online meeting scheduled for 22 April 2021 from

2.00 pm to 5.00 pm (Rome time), which aims to bring together the Safeguarding Delegates for

female and male religious institutes.

This meeting has two objectives:

1. Creating a network of collaboration among the different institutes

2. Considering initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of care

We will use the Zoom platform with simultaneous translation service in Italian, English, Spanish

and French. There will be space to pray, share experiences in the field of Safeguarding under the

guidance of three members of our joint UISG-USG Commission for Care and Protection. Fr. Timothy

Brennan MSC, Fr. Brendan Geary FMS and Sr. Tiziana Merletti SFP will share with the group their

expertise in this field to understand how to advance together in the promotion of Safeguarding

among religious orders.

We invite you to register at the following link, in order to indicate the language chosen, and you will

automatically receive the Zoom link to access the meeting. LINK:

On the day of the meeting, you will need to rename yourself once you are in the Zoom channel,

entering the language abbreviation before the name. This will allow us to move quickly into groups

when necessary. This is why we invite you to connect to Zoom at 1.45pm.

Example: "Sr. Patricia Murray" will be renamed as "EN_Sr. Patricia Murray. The abbreviations for

languages are:

- EN_: English

- IT_: Italian

- SP_: Spanish

- FR_: French

If you have any doubts, we will help you resolve them at the beginning of the meeting. We would

like to anticipate the indication only to speed up the process.
