The new Superior of the Pious Society of St. Gaetano comes from Argentina

The 10th General Chapter of the Pious Society of St. Gaetano
concluded in Vicenza on 16 July.
Fr. Rolando Luis Duris was elected as Superior General and successor to Fr. Venanzio Gasparoni.
Father Rolando was born in 1965 in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña in the province of Chaco, in the north of Argentina, a thousand kilometres from Buenos Aires, to a family of Czechoslovakian origin.
The Chapter also elected the members of the General Council who will accompany Father Duris for the next six years:
- Fr Luca Garbinetto,
- Fr Giampietro Zampiva,
- Fr Luigi De Franceschi
- Deacon Graziano Culpo
Fr. Venanzio Gasparoni had announced this on the eve of the general chapter:
'For the Pious Society of St Gaetano the hour of generational change has arrived'.
