Announcing the opening conference of the Institute for Interreligious Relations
AULA MINOR 10.30 - 17.30 EST
This conference serves to launch the Thomist Circles Project, that will define the future direction of the Institute of Interreligious Relations in the coming years. The objective of the project is to retrieve and promote a Thomistic approach to Catholic theology of religions and interreligious relations by:
- Developing a contemporary theology of religions based on Thomist principles which can serve the needs of the contemporary Church.
- Promoting an understanding other religions in an objective and scholarly manner without compromising a commitment to Catholic truth claims.
- Testing modes of interreligious relations that are based on the use of reason in the encounter of religions in the contemporary world.
The conference will be held in English.
